Our BladeRunner and Maverick bridges come standard with a lightweight “Sustainium” tone block - an excellent choice for most players. Our standard block boosts all the frequencies equally and has awesome note to note separation. (If interested, this is same alloy used to cast church bells in the olden days). We also offer a solid Bell Brass (380 alloy) block and a solid, nickel plated Carbon Steel (1020 alloy) block. Brass is best for the ultimate in sustain and producing warmer, jazzier overtones. Carbon Steel delivers a bit more low end punch and a faster attack. If you have a Fender Squier or thin body guitar then select the Shorty Sustainium for a perfect fit. The full height blocks measure 1.7” (43mm) tall and the shorty block measures 1.5” (38mm) tall.
